NorthEast United will host FC Goa for their Matchday 3 clash of the Indian Super League 2019-20 season. FC Goa and NorthEast United have been the semi-finalists in the ISL 2018-19 but it was FC Goa that went on to play the finals. FC Goa have been consistent since the past three seasons and will hope to continue with their positive momentum. NorthEast United have a set of senior and new players this season under their newly-appointed coach Robert Jarni. 

FC Goa and NorthEast United are unbeaten so far in the current ISL season with four points each to their name. The Goans started their season on a high note with a dominating 3-0 win over Chennaiyin FC, before sharing the spoils with Bengaluru FC in Matchday 2. As for NorthEast United, they halted Bengaluru FC for a 0-0 draw and clinched a close win against Odisha FC in their second game. The match is scheduled to kick-off on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 7:30 PM onwards at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.
