FIFA suspends AIFF, India now stripped off hosting rights for 2022 U-17 Women's World Cup
World football governing body FIFA has suspended the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for an indefinite period due to undue influence from third parties.

In a key development, global football governing body FIFA suspended All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect citing 'undue influence' of third parties in its manment. suspension also means that India will w be stripped of hosting rights for upcoming 2022 Under-17 Women's World Cup.
“ Bureau of FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect due to undue influence from third parties, which constitutes a serious violation of FIFA Statutes," re official statement by FIFA.

football governing body furr informed that suspension on AIFF will be lifted only after an order to set up a Committee of ministrators (COA) to act as AIFF Executive Committee has been repealed. ban will be lifted once AIFF ministration regains full control of national body’s daily affairs. “ suspension means that FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022, scheduled to take place in India on 11-30 October 2022, cant currently be held in India as planned,” FIFA ded.
FIFA will w asses new steps in terms of organizing U-17 Women’s World Cup, while matter will be referred to Bureau of Council if necessary. Meanwhile, world football governing body also ded that y are in ‘constant constructive contact with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in India and are expecting to reach a positive outcome.

AIFF has t held elections for past two seasons and COA will be taking care of AIFF for first time in its 85-year-old history. This was t first time that FIFA will be imposing a ban on football body of any country on account of trouble within member associations.
FIFA said that it is assessing next steps with regard to tournament and will refer matter to Bureau of Council if and when necessary. governing body said that it is in constant constructive contact with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in India and is hopeful that a positive outcome to case may still be achieved.

India have alrey qualified for AFC 2023, but as things w stand, re will be international appearances until AIFF ministration regains full control of national body’s daily affairs. While international matches will be affected, domestic tournaments like ISL and I-League will continue to take place since it does t come under FIFA jurisdiction. FIFA ban will also affect transfers of overseas players as y will t be allowed to play.
