First-ever expanded FIFA Club World Cup dates confirmed, United States to host 2025 Edition

The expanded FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the United States for the first time from 15 June to 13 July 2025, the world football governing body announced on Sunday.

first edition of expanded FIFA Club World Cup in United States will be std from June 15 to July 13, 2025, world soccer's governing body said Sunday.

FIFA said 32-team tournament, which will officially be called Mundial de Clubes, would be “harmoniously aligned with International Match Calendar” to ensure re would be eugh of a gap between final and start of domestic leagues.

“Clubs play a fundamental role in world football, and FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be a major milestone in providing clubs from all confederations with a fitting st on which to shine at highest level of game,” FIFA president Gianni Infanti said. “This will be an open competition based on sporting merit that will play a key role as part of our efforts to make football truly global.”

last edition of Club World Cup in its current guise is currently being held in Saudi Arabia, where Champions League winner Manchester City is aiming to win trophy for first time.

An annual tournament called Coupe Intercontinentale de la FIFA will be played from 2024 between Champions League winner and winner of a play off between champions from or soccer confederations.
