Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has reportedly dismissed rumours of a January 2020 move to the Chinese Super League away from the LaLiga heavyweights. Bale's transfer has been a subject of speculation since the past couple of years, first, over Santiago Solari’s preference to Marco Asensio in the right-wing, followed by the re-appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the manager.

Bale has been a subject of speculation

Bale’s future under Zinedine Zidane appeared bleak earlier but the forward has forced his way back into contention so far this term, following the injury of Marco Asensio, which forced the Spaniard out for almost the whole season. Nevertheless, the pair’s relationship remains strained given how often the Frenchman made clear that he didn’t want to keep the former Tottenham star in the Spanish capital. In the past two matches, Rodrygo Goes has won Zidane's confidence and is likely to cement his position in the starting XI. But Bale’s long-term agent has reportedly insisted that there was nothing related to the forward’s future in his decision to visit London recently and dismissed speculation of renewed talks of a move to China.

Bale was particularly unimpressed by his omission from Real's squad to face Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League earlier in October. After the match, Zidane put his absence down to a fitness issue but those close to Bale insist he was fully fit.

Bale was frequently linked to United

Manchester United have been consistently linked with a move for Bale since Jose Mourinho was at the helm, but it is believed that present United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not interested in the ex-Spurs winger, with the Norweigan more focused on restructuring his squad by signing younger players.

The 30-year-old agreed to a £1m-a-week deal to move to China last summer but the deal fell through after Real Madrid President Florentino Perez refused to allow Bale to leave on a free transfer.
