Manchester United and Liverpool are ready to battle it out for RB Leipzig star forward Timo Werner, in coming January transfer window. Werner has scored 74 goals in 129 games for his side while providing 33 assists for teammates since joining from VfB Stuttgart in 2016.

Timo Werner could provide much-needed goals for Manchester United

Manchester United manr Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be looking to add depth to his side’s misfiring attack led by Marcus Rashford, in order to finish among top four teams in Premier League. A finish in top four would guarantee a Champions League spot next season.  manr did t re-inforce United’s attack after departure of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan. Solskjaer will look to acquire services of German striker, with 23-year-old garnering interest across Europe with his impressive performances for Bundesliga club.

Champions League winners Liverpool aim to buy Timo Werner

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has kept tabs on striker’s career and is eyeing him to add ar dimension to his already formidable attack. However, Klopp would prefer to sign Werner at end of season rar than in winter transfer window. He’s happy with Roberto Firmi, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane starring at forefront of his attack, with Divock Origi being a brilliant deputy.

Werner has continued with his impressive goal scoring form this season, having netted 11 goals in 16 games for club and country, including a hat-trick of goals and assists in 8-0 rout of Mainz.  player extended his current deal with RB Leipzig just three months back, signing a new contract that will keep him with Bundesliga outfit until 2023.
