Manchester United and Bayern Munich are reportedly vying for the signature of Juventus and German midfielder Emre Can. The former Liverpool midfielder has been out of favor for Maurizio Sarri since the Italian took charge of the club. He has managed to start just one match in the ongoing Serie A season so far.
He was also left out of Juventus’ squad for the Champions League group stage, sparking speculation over his future. Can also admitted to a section of the Italian media that he was furious at being left out of the Italian giants’ Champions League squad and it is believed that he is now eyeing an exit.

Can might leave in Winter transfer window
According to Italian media reports, the German International will be allowed to leave in January 2020 if a suitable offer arrives. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s midfield options have been reduced over the course of the year and the Norwegian desperately needs some depth in United’s midfield in January 2020 if Manchester United are to challenge for a top-six spot in the Premier League this season.
Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on bringing back Can to the Allianz Arena after his departure in 2013 to Bayer Leverkusen. Niko Kovac looks to add depth to the side’s midfield after a not-so-great start to the domestic season.
Can made 115 appearances before joining the Serie A giants on a free transfer in 2018. He was a regular under previous boss Massimiliano Allegri but has found himself kicking his heels on the sidelines under Sarri. Juventus are said to be considering using Can and team-mate Mario Mandzukic as makeweights in any deal for Paul Pogba but Can’s entourage have been contacted by a number of clubs across Europe regardless and he is weighing up his options.
