Chelsea manr Frank Lampard was gutted after his team's lackluster performance against a struggling Arsenal during ir Premier League match at Emirates Stadium on Saturday where y were completely outclassed by a 3-1 margin. 'Gunners' ensured that 'Blues' were kept at bay right from early sts of game and by time visiting team std a comeback,  it was too late as match was already over by n. 

Lampard had all reasons to be disappointed as five-time EPL winners who were at fifth spot prior to this clash could have made ir way to top-3 had y got better of home team on Saturday night.

'Lazy': Frank Lampard

"t good eugh. First half t good eugh. Second half, yeah, good eugh, but mountain to climb, and when you attack a game way we did. Attack is definitely wrong word but things like Saka goal happen because you don’t deserve luck. We fought second half, people that came on added speed, energy, intensity into our game, but that should be a given from start", said Lampard while speaking to Sky Sports. 

‘And you get what you deserve. Lazy to give away a penalty. Lazy in terms of giving away a free-kick that he (Granit Xhaka) puts in top corner. I’m very, very disappointed in way we approached first half, because some things in football are basics", former English midfielder added.

Arsenal pull off a huge upset on Boxing Day

' Pensioners' were expected to come out all guns blazing and add three precious points to ir tally during Boxing Day clash at Emirates Stadium but it was t to be as a determined Arsenal made most of ir home conditions and were on top of ir game right from word 'Go'.

Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette drew first blood for Gunners off a penalty in 34th minute while Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka followed it up with a free-kick in 44th minute as home side already had a 2-0 lead going into half time.

neless, things were different in second half eir as English left-back Bukayo Saka succeeded in finding back of net for Arsenal in 56th minute. visiting t only had to reduce ir deficit from reon but also had to play out of ir skins to even reach closer to Arsenal's scoreline which did t happen. English striker Tammy Abraham scored lone goal for Chelsea in 85th minute but that was just t eugh and home team started celebrating after final whistle had blown.

Blues w find mselves languishing at seventh position with seven wins from 15 matches and 25 points in ir tally.  Cesar Azpilicueta & Co. hardly have any time to recover from this bitter defeat as y will be hosting sixth-placed Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
