Frank Lampard sacked: The Chelsea legend has been axed following a poor run in the league and he is set to be replaced by former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea have sacked manr Frank Lampard following a dismal run of form in Premier League. Blues confirmed news of Lampard's sacking later on Monday through an official statement on ir social media as Chelsea players were informed t to report to ir Cobham training base until this afteron. Former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manr Thomas Tuchel is set to replace Chelsea icon at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard sacked; Blues axe club legend after poor run of results
After Matt Law of Independent reported Frank Lampard's sacking earlier, Chelsea confirmed news on Monday with an official statement on ir social media. west London giants are currently on a poor run of form in Premier League, losing five of ir last eight games, six points rift a top-four berth, in ninth. Chelsea did, however, man to get a win in what was Lampard's final game as Chelsea manr - a 3-1 triumph over Luton Town in FA Cup 4th Round this weekend.

Thomas Tuchel to Chelsea: Former PSG boss to be named as new Chelsea manr
Several reports have stated that former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is in line to replace Lampard at Chelsea. German was sacked by Parisians earlier this season, despite guiding m to UCL final in summer. Tuchel won two Ligue 1 titles with PSG. He was previously he coach at Borussia Dortmund. A move to Chelsea would see Tuchel reunite with his old PSG captain Thiago Silva and ex-Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic.

Roman Abramovich on Lampard's sacking
In wake of entire Frank Lampard affair, owner of Chelsea Football Club, Roman Abramovich me his statements public. He said: “This was a very difficult decision for club, t least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have utmost respect for him. He is a man of great integrity and has highest of work ethics. However, under current circumstances we believe it is best to change manrs.
