Fans react to Bruno Fernandes 2nd red card for Manchester United in last 2 games

Following Bruno Fernandes' expulsion during the 3-3 Europa League tie against FC Porto on October 3, Manchester United fans voiced their annoyance on social media. In the 81st minute the skipper got a second yellow card for a high boot tackle on a Porto defender.

Having already got a red card in the league game against Tottenham Hotspur on September 29, this was the second straight encounter in which the Portuguese midfielder has been sent off. Later on, Manchester United appealed, therefore that ruling was reversed.

Fans swiftly turned to X (previously Twitter) to express their displeasure with the thirty-year-old athlete. Fans  said:

Erik ten Hag's team drew at the Estádio do Dragão despite down a player and behind by a goal in the last minutes of the game due to a stoppage-time header from Harry Maguire.

Regarding the next Europa League games, Bruno Fernandes's expulsion in the last one will cause him to be sidelined. He got his first yellow card in the 32nd minute for a high boot; then, a second yellow in the 81st for a similar offence. He will thereby miss the next Europa League game for Manchester United.

October 24 is the Red Devils' scheduled game against Turkish side Fenerbahce; Jose Mourinho, former United manager, is in charge of the following squad.
