Harry Maguire could miss Man United's Premier League game vs Newcastle due to injury

Man United defender Harry Maguire could miss the game against Newcastle United after sustaining an injury while on international duty with England.

Premier League action returns this week after international break. Manchester United will look to shrug off previous defeat against Tottenham as y come up against Newcastle United at St James' Park. re's relief in sight for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though, who has been dealt ar blow with captain Harry Maguire set for a spell on sidelines.

Man United news: Harry Maguire injury a blow for Solskjaer 

Solskjaer has confirmed that captain is a doubt for trip to St James' Park. In his pre-match press conference, rwegian tactician said: “Harry seemed to pick up a little kck just before he got sent off. So we’re having a look at him today to see how he is. You never kw [how players are injury wise] until y get back and we have had a look at m. I think, and we hope, everyone has come through okay." 

Harry Maguire was sent off in England's defeat to Denmark in Nations League as well. With manr confirming that he sustained a kck before sending off, this suggests more trouble for Man United, who are already reeling under intense pressure after ir hollow defence was exposed by Jose Mourinho's Tottenham at Old Trafford before international break.

Bru Fernandes, Solskjaer blame 'outside forces' for conflict 

After defeat to Tottenham, re were rumours that re was a rift in  relationship between Solksjaer and Bru Fernandes. Reports suggested that Portuguese midfielder had begun losing faith in manr's ability. However, Bru Fernandes, while speaking to Esporte Interativo, has rubbished those rumours. He instead highlighted his excellent relationship with Solskjaer, insisting that he was grateful to  boss for trusting him to pull strings in midfield at Old Trafford.

He also blamed some 'outside forces' trying to destabilise dressing room at Man United. Similar allegations have been echoed by Solskjaer. boss said that outsiders were at work to divide m, but team was united w more than ever.
