Carlo Ancelotti speaks on Vinicius Jr’s link with Saudi Arabia
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid has refuted rumours implying that top forward Vinicius Jr. is under temptation from a big offer to join the Saudi Pro League this summer. The Brazilian has been a regular member of Los Blancos since 2018 and has played a key role for the club at the top level since 2021.
Declaring that there is no substance to the rumours about Vinicius's possible departure, Ancelotti vehemently refuted them during a Tuesday, August 13 press conference as he will be taking part with Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo together.

"Vinicius and Saudi Arabia? There's NOTHING,"
Aiming to draw the player to the Saudi Pro League this summer, a group representing the Public Investment Fund and the Saudi Arabian athletic ministry made an incredible offer to Vinicius Jr.’s representation, according to The Athletic.

Promoted as the most lucrative agreement in sports history, this one would have paid the Brazilian an incredible €1 billion over five years. Furthermore, the agreement set Vinicius as Saudi Arabia's public face for their 2034 FIFA World Cup application. Real Madrid and Vinicius both turned down the offer, though.
Vinicius Jr. is one of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career ever since. The Brazilian attacker joined the team after Cristiano Ronaldo left and has quickly developed to be among Real Madrid's most valuable assets. Vini is under contract with Los Blancos until 2027.
