Real Madrid clinched their 15th UEFA Champions League title with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the final. Following their June 1 Champions League final victory against Borussia Dortmund, Vinicius Junior made a big announcement regarding his future with Real Madrid. With the second goal, the winger—who was crucial to the game—ensured his team's victory and took home the trophy.

Toni Kroos's last game for Madrid was marked by the opening goal of the match, which came via Dani Carvajal's header from a corner. Vinicius then sealed their win with a second goal in the 83rd minute. He completed eight successful take-ons and was a continual menace to Dortmund's defence throughout the game.

The thrilled Brazilian approached Real Madrid president after the game and candidly shared his opinions (via Madrid Xtra):

“I want to stay here forever. I hope [President] Florentino [Perez] sees this interview and renews my contract again.”

In a Sky Sports interview, Vinicius further shared his happiness at winning the Champions League, saying (via Italy24):

“For me it’s incredible. Like the first time, it’s a feeling you can’t even think of experiencing. We owe it to our fans, we suffered but we won from Real Madrid. I’m happy. I love this club and all the people who brought me here.""I want to thank the president who had faith in me and who bought me from Brazil when I was very young. I think the expense has paid off , we hope to continue to win a lot.”
