ISL schedule: Tournament confirmed to start on November 20, I-League likely from January 7
Indian football: The seventh season of the Hero ISL will kick off in Goa from November 20, the organisers of India’s premier football league have announced.

ISL will be first major sporting event to be held in India since COVID-enforced lockdown in March.
Last season's final was forced to be held behind closed doors in Goa after onset of pandemic in March 2020. And w tournament will pick up from where it left off. entire seventh edition will be held in Goa and will be played behind closed doors. Players will be in a bio-secure bubble to ensure smooth functioning of tournament amidst tough circumstances.

tournament will see 11 teams play inste of 10 as it was last year and this is after East Bengal have me an entry into tournament. ISL fixtures have t been revealed yet, but tournament will kick-off on vember 20.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stium in Fatorda, Tilak Nagar Stium in Vasco da Gama and GMC Athletic Stium in Bambolim are three venues set to host games and each team has ir own separate training grounds which y have picked.

Where are teams w?
All teams except FC Bengaluru are undergoing ir pre-season in Goa after having ir mandatory COVID-19 tests and observing a quarantine. FC Bengaluru are doing ir pre-season training at ir Vijayanagar base in Karnataka and are expected to arrive in Goa in time to complete quarantine protocols and enter bio-secure bubble for competition.

Indian football: I-League 2021 season likely to start on January 7
As per reports, Hero I-League is expected to kick off on January 7, 2021. tournament was scheduled to begin later this month. However, on requests of teams and in consultation with West Bengal government, tournament has been delayed to beginning of next year. This year will see 11 teams will participate in competition, with Sudeva FC and Mohammedan Sporting making ir way into tournament. Mohammedan clinched promotion to I-League through qualifiers while Sudeva earned a direct entry into league on basis of a Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

Due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic, upcoming season is set to undergo a major overhaul, with AIFF set to shorten season.
