ISL: Mumbai City FC defender Anwar Ali is battling a heart problem

Mumbai City FC and Indian centre-back, Anwar Ali, is ruled out from the current ISL season as he has been diagnosed with a heart problem. Ali got aware of the heart problem during one of his medical tests in Mumbai. Anwar Ali, who showed great calibre, will travel to France to get further medical attention. Mumbai City’s official informed on Saturday. “He (Ali) is being looked after and both the club and the All India Football Federation are doing everything that can be done to help him," a Mumbai City FC official told PTI.
Ali was experiencing decent form which helped the centre-half to get selected for Mumbai FC for the ISL season six. He was also in the Indian national team list of probables for the World Cup qualifiers against Qatar, Oman and Bangladesh. Ali was in India's U-17 squad World Cup squad in 2017 and featured in all the group games. Mumbai City FC and the AIFF, both have shown their support to the defender during the tough period and have pledged to help him recover from the tough time. Anwar Ali has featured in 34 matches for All India Football Federation's developmental team Indian Arrows in his last two seasons while he was loaned by Mumbai CIty FC.
