Kerala Blasters FC entered Thursday night's ISL match against Mumbai FC as favourites after putting aside ATK in their opening game last Sunday. Playing in front of the frenetic 'Manjapadda Fan Group', regarded as the most vociferous fan base in Asia, is no mean task. But the visitors came out with flying colours as they registered a 1-0 win against Kerala Blasters FC in their ISL 2019-20 opening match. It was a rather uneventful first half as both teams defended well and ended the first 45 minutes at 0-0.

However, Mumbai skipper and goalkeeper Amrinder Singh starred as forward Amine Chermiti gave his side the lead towards the end of the second half. The home team, under the guidance of Eelco Schattorie, pushed for an equaliser as the game went into stoppage time but Mumbai City FC managed to hold off their attacking play. At the end, the scoreboard at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi read 1-0 in favour of the Islanders, managed by Jorge Costa. Here are the highlights from Thursday evening's ISL tie between Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City.
