After a short break, the Indian Super League resumed as per normal schedule as Mumbai City FC hosted FC Goa at the Mumbai Football Arena on Thursday night, November 7. It turned out to be a thrilling match even as the visitors ended up winning it 4-2. MCFC were trailing at the half-hour mark as Lenny Rodrigues put FC Goa ahead. The Gaurs star Ferran Corominas doubled the visitors lead with a smooth finish just before the half-time whistle. Mumbai did not give up and continued to attack from the start of the second half itself. Goals from defenders Sarthak Golui and Sauvik Chakrabarti helped the home team draw level. However, there was more drama to follow. Goa were eager to score more and continued to press high up the pitch for a winner. Just four minutes after Mumbai equalised, Gaurs striker Boumous scored the crucial goal to hand his side the advantage in Mumbai. Goa held on to possession after that and then went on to add another just before the end of play as Edu Bedia assisted Carlos Pena to make the scoreline read 4-2 and virtually ending Mumbai's hopes. The win pushed Goa to the top of the table with eight points from four games while Mumbai lie at the fifth spot. Here are the player ratings from Thursday night's match at the Mumbai Football Arena.
