Neymar joined the Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal in 2023 for a record amount; however, he only played five games due to a knee injury that sidelined him for the season. Real Madrid star Rodrygo shares his love for Neymar Jr.
During an interview during his international duty in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo lately expressed his respect for ex-Barcelona's Neymar Jr. He said he gets discouraged when people criticise his national teammate's ethical conduct.
Currently representing Brazil in the 2026 World Cup qualifications, Rodrygo scored the key goal for his country on September 7 against Ecuador in 1-0 triumph.

An injury has Neymar Jr out from the national team for these qualifications; supporters will have to wait until November or as late as December to see him back in action. Neymar's dedication to the game has come under examination; some fans have criticised his injury problems.
The 23-year-old Madrid striker showed his appreciation for Neymar and said in his interview with ESPN Brazil that it disturbs him when Neymar encounters harsh remarks. Rodrygo on Neymar said:

Neymar has shown his support for Rodrygo after the omission of the Real Madrid player from the Ballon d'Or nominations. On social media, the 32-year-old Neymar uploaded a picture of his international colleague in action with a message, "At least top 5 in the world. Crack," in a criticism of the choice to cut Rodrygo off the 30-player shortlist.
