Luis Rubiales kissed Jenni Hermoso without consent after the FIFA Women’s World Cup final
The 45-year-old Luis Rubiales was observed embracing the winning competitors during the medal and trophy presentation on stage. Notably, he was seen kissing the lips of former RCD Mallorca athlete and midfielder Jenni Hermoso. This action generated an avalanche of criticism, resulting in an uproar. During a discussion with the Spanish media outlet RTVE, CF Pucha star Jenni Hermoso voiced her displeasure with the action, stating, "Eh...yeah, I did not enjoy that."
However, Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales publicly apologized after the incident. Spanish football star Hermoso has called for immediate action to be taken against the RFEF President. The FUTPRO union, which represents football players, has backed Hermoso's call for "exemplary actions" to confront Rubiales' inappropriate behavior.

FUTPRO and TMJ issue a joint statement calling for strict action to be taken
Jenni Hermoso's union, FUTPRO, and her agency, TMJ, issued a joint statement in which Jenni Hermoso expressed her union's steadfast commitment to eliminating tolerance for such behaviors. She emphasized the need to protect female football players from any type of unwanted behaviour. In order to achieve this goal, FUTPRO plans to meet with Yolanda Diaz, Spain's second deputy prime minister. The goal of these discussions is to guarantee that appropriate penalties for Luis Rubiales' acts are put in place.

Hermoso's World Cup victory is the latest shining jewel in her crown. She started her career with Atletico Madrid, then moved on to Barcelona, and is now playing with Pachuca of Mexico. The Spanish FA president could face harsh punishment. However, he has not yet been subject to any formal sanctions or measures.
