Jude Bellingham Becomes First England Player In 20 Years To Script Iconic Feat At Ballon d'Or 2024

Ballon d'Or 2024 ceremony was ravd with controversy after Champions League holders Real Mrid opted to boycott event after finding out ir star player Vinicius Jr was snubbed for prestigious award. It was inste Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri who bagged home award for best player in world.

Jude Bellingham also h a stellar first season with Real Mrid as he scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists to le Real Mrid to a Champions League and La Liga double. Bellingham also led England to finals of Euro 2024 where y lost to Spain 2-1. 

Given his performances, Jude Bellingham was minated for Ballon d'Or and in final classification he finished third behind Rodri and Vinicius Jr. In doing so, Jude Bellingham became first English player in 20 years to finish on Ballon d'Or podium since Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in 2005.
