Jude Bellingham Kicks Cooler in Frustration as Spain Claims 2-1 Win Over England in Euro 2024 Final

Defying England 2-1 in an exciting UEFA Euro 2024 final, Spain emerged triumphant to take the trophy. Nico Williams opened the score in the 47th minute for Spain, then Mikel Oyarzabal scored a late goal in the 86th minute to generate great activity in the game. England's will notwithstanding, Cole Palmer pulled one back in the 73rd minute. With their 16 shots, 6 on target, and 66% possession, Spain clearly dominated and sealed their triumph over England in a remarkable final hosted at the Olympiastadion Berlin.

Claiming their fourth championship at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Spain overcame England 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final.

In the 86th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal scored the clinching goal, therefore guaranteeing that Spain's flawless run resulted in collecting the Euro trophy for the first time since 2012.

Nico Williams, assisted by 17-year-old star prodigy Lamine Yamal, opened with the 47th minute goal. When super replacement Cole Palmer made an amazing long-range goal after an assist from the other star player, Jude Bellingham, England's hopes were momentarily raised; but, Oyarzabal's late strike guaranteed Spain's triumph.  

After the match, Jude Bellingham, a promising young player from England, expressed his aggravation by forcefully kicking a cooler box in the dugout before exiting the field, the video of the incident quickly went viral as England lost its back-to-back UEFA Euro final.

Jude Bellingham was a key player for England on the pitch. However, he personally seemed to struggle throughout the tournament, playing the role of a no.10 but he has had a successful season with Real Madrid, lifting the Champions League and La Liga. Despite the struggles with England, he recorded 2 goals and 1 assist throughout the tournament but was outshined by the 17-year-old Lamine Yamal. 

After incredible performances at such a young age, Yamal was bestowed with the Young Player of the Tournament Award, and Rodri was presented with the Player of the Tournament distinction. Mike Maignan of France was awarded the Golden Glove for achieving four clean sheets.

Six players will share the Euro 2024 Golden Boot because neither Harry Kane nor Dani Olmo were able to score in the championship game. Harry Kane from England, Dani Olmo from Spain, Cody Gakpo from the Netherlands, Jamal Musiala from Germany, Ivan Schranz from Slovakia, and Georges Mikautadze from Georgia are currently sharing the position of top scorer.

Spain's triumph signifies their fourth Euro Championship trophy, augmenting their previous victories in 1964, 2008, 2012, and the most recent one in 2024.
