City have a poor record at Anfield
The reigning Premier League champions Manchester City would be looking to close in on the six-point lead that Liverpool enjoys in the League table. City do not have an impressive record at Anfield as they are yet to win there since 2003. Guardiola has lost two of his three league games there since taking over at the Etihad. De Bruyne was typically unflustered when addressing their record at the Merseyside and is relishing the prospect of a charged up atmosphere.

When asked about his views on their record at Anfield, De Bruyne commented that he doesn’t care and that a lot of circumstances will decide the game. He believes that a player cannot do anything with statistics like these. Guardiola will be anxiously waiting for updates on Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, who was forced off at half-time in their recent Champions League 1-1 draw against Atalanta with a thigh injury. The tactician would most probably rely on Claudio Bravo as an ideal replacement.

De Bruyne believes that the media will make a lot of their record and people have been talking about it for the whole week, even before the Champions League, but they will just do their job, keep calm and prepare themselves for the clash. De Bruyne went on to say that it is a game like any another. He added that they are well aware that it's a big game and that Liverpool are ahead of them. But all they have to do is to go back, recover from the away trip to Italy and be ready for next Sunday.
