Kylian Mbappe has officially become part of Los Blancos. Mbappe was officially presented as Real Madrid's number 9 on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. This development occurred subsequent to Kylian Mbappe's departure from PSG without any financial compensation, as he made the decision to not extend his contract with the French club. Mbappe was asked during the press conference regarding his availability for the UEFA Super Cup versus Atalanta, the 2023–24 UEFA Europa League champions. He verified that he would be ready for the game, which falls August 14 at the National Stadium Warsaw in Poland.
Edu Aguirre, a journalist, has verified that Kylian Mbappe will start his training with Real Madrid on August 7. Mbappe is now on vacation after the conclusion of the UEFA Euro 2024. Aguirre further stated that the forward will not be subjected to nasal surgery.
Mbappe suffered a nose injury during France's initial Euro 2024 game against Austria. He was absent from the following game against the Netherlands and wore a mask for the remainder of the competition until the semi-finals. France was knocked out in the semi-finals by the eventual winners, Spain.
