Real Madrid kept struggling when they played Las Palmas, drawing only a 1-1. Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior converted a penalty in the 69th minute to save a point for the underprivileged squad as Alberto Moleiro found the goal early on. Real Madrid faced an opponent ready to resist, despite controlling possession and outshooting their opponent, therefore producing a dismal result for the Spanish giants. They are currently 5th on the La Liga table after 3 games consisting of 1 win and 2 draws.

Kylian Mbappe has failed to make a major impact in his last 16 games

As Real Madrid drew with Las Palmas in their La Liga game on August 29, Kylian Mbappé's current battle persisted. This was the third straight game Mbappé failed to provide Los Blancos with a goal or assist.

After the game, ESPN FC highlighted a fascinating X statistic showing Mbappé's only four goals in his past 16 outings. In twelve of those games for both his club and the national team, he has been scoreless.

Recently, he scored against Atalanta, Poland, Luxembourg, and Toulouse; he also scored a penalty in France's Euro 2024 game against Poland.

Kylian Mbappé battled against Las Palmas on Thursday even though he played the whole ninety minutes. He lost possession twelve times, squandered a big chance, and only managed two shots on target. Moreover, he did not note one important pass through the game.

France's semi-final departure was significantly influenced by Mbappé's underperformance at Euro 2024. Given he only scored once in five games, his explosive form from the last two World Cups was conspicuously lacking.

Real Madrid will now be seen in action against Real Betis on Monday, September 2, 2024. Kylian Mbappe and the team are anticipated to eye glory and start fresh to save their poor start of the La Liga campaign.
