LaLiga chief says Neymar, Ronaldo aren't 'essential elements' like 'heritage' Lionel Messi

LaLiga president Javier Tebas claims that Lionel Messi is far more essential than Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming that the Barca captain is 'heritage'.

LaLiga president Javier Tebas is kwn for courting controversy with his comments in press and 58-year-old's recent comments will irk loyal supporters of Neymar Jr and Cristia Ronaldo. Both star forwards sought pastures anew after productive spells in Spain and Tebas has hardly forgotten terms of ir exit. Tebas has taken a jibe at both Neymar and Ronaldo, suggesting that Barcelona captain Lionel Messi is far more valuable to LaLiga n those two.

LaLiga president believes Neymar and Cristia aren't as essential to LaLiga as Messi 

In an interview with Marca, Javier Tebas revealed that Lionel Messi has been LaLiga's herit and has been far more essential than his counterparts Neymar and Cristia Ronaldo. LaLiga president said that Brazilian international gave LaLiga eyes in a few countries that follow him, but he was certainly t an essential part.

58-year-old added that same can be said about Cristia Ronaldo, who left Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018. Barcelona captain Lionel Messi was close to leaving Camp u in summer to join Manchester City but opted to stay around till end of his contract to avoid legal issues with LaLiga and his boyhood club.

Tebas believes that Messi leaving Barcelona would have been catastrophic for Spanish first division, and reiterated that it is always his desire that six-time Ballon d'Or winner ends his career in Spain. LaLiga president, however, revealed that Lione Messi's potential exit would hardly have any financial implication for league, as TV broadcaster asked for cancellation of contracts signed on for next four years. However, 58-year-old is aware that a second wave of ongoing coronavirus pandemic could sabot ir financial stranglehold with cases consistently rising in Spain.

Javier Tebas adds that re should be a balance between financial and health aspects of game, and LaLiga could t afford ar a forced break. LaLiga president said that league could soon move into a 'financial pandemic', which could be dangerous for clubs in Spanish top division. Real Madrid are currently top of LaLiga but have played one more game than Barcelona, who y face off against at Camp u on October 24.
