Lampard won't rule out Chelsea recruiting PSG striker Cavani

Frank Lampard has refused to rule out Chelsea making a move for want-away Paris St German striker Edinson Cavani.

Uruguay hitman Cavani has handed in an official transfer request at PSG, with Atletico Madrid rumoured to be waiting in wings to recruit 32-year-old.

Chelsea are able to make January signings after ir two-window FIFA transfer ban was lifted by Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and Lampard has t dampened down any links to Cavani.

Asked wher he had any interest in recruiting Cavani, Lampard said: "He's a great player; I played against him and I always loved his mentality and attitude, and obviously his goal-scoring record speaks for itself.

"I'm t absolutely aware of what situation is, so we'll see. He's an experienced player, but so are many or players out re.

"I think we are young, and we kw about transitions. idea of bringing in experience is something I'm certainly t absolutely looking away from.

"Because sometimes young players need a little bit of help, and if that's case n that may help us."
