Legendary footballer Pele provides update on health, says he is 'recovering well'

Football legend Pele underwent surgery to remove a tumour during a six-day admission in Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital and provided a health update.

Football legend Pele underwent surgery to remove a tumour during a six-day mission in Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital. 80-year old is t believed to be critical. Meanwhile, Brazilian legend also provided a health update on social media saying that he is "recovering well".

In post, he also sent his "affection, love and prayers" to Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos, whose son Dudu Braga passed away on Wednesday at of 52 after a fight with cancer.

Pele mitted to a hospital in Brazil for past six days

According to Globo news, Pele was mitted to Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital for an undisclosed issue. He was undergoing routine examinations with his business manr Joe Fraga stating that re were reasons to worry. Fraga said that a 'full battery of tests, scans, coloscopy,' amid or examinations were carried out. Meanwhile, Pele cleared air via an Instagram post, stating that he h a tumour for which he was getting tests for.

This scare came a few days after various reports suggested that Pele h fainted. Pele, amid rumours spreing like wildfire, took to his social media accounts immediately to dismiss m. He wrote that he did t faint and that he was only busy with his routine examinations.

Fans were worried about Pele's health during his documentary

Considering Pele's achievements, it is t surprising to see kind of love fans have for Brazilian legend. Earlier this year when he cut one of his fingers during filming a documentary, fans were left extremely worried. Pele was leing star in a Netflix show that explained his life from childhood poverty to becoming one of best footballers in history. Brazil legend is only man in history to win three World Cups (1958, 1962 and 1970).

primary reason why viewers were worried was because Pele was using a simmer frame and a wheelchair at various points of shooting documentary. For example, in opening scene, he was only able to reach his seat in front of camera with use of a walking frame. Meanwhile, towards end of show, he was seen arriving at a barbecue in a wheelchair. With Pele becoming hospitalized, fans around world will hope that he recovers soon.
