Jamie Vardy wins October Premier League POTM award; 4 goals in 3 games

Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy has been named the EA Sports Player of the Month for October after netting four goals in three games in the Premier League 2019-20 season so far. Jamie Vardy has been a prominent player for Brendan Rodgers this season as Leicester City have performed unexpectedly good so far in the Premier League. While talking with premierleague.com, Vardy said that it's a great feeling to win the award and it just shows Leicester City's good form this season. The striker stated that they have been performing well and he has been fortunate enough to capitalise on the chances he has been getting so far.

Jamie Vardy and Leicester City so far this season

Jamie Vardy grabbed a hat-trick for Leicester City in their 9-0 thumping of Southampton on Matchday 10 and also found the net in their clash against Burnley on October 19, 2019. Jamie Vardy won on the basis of the votes by the fans and managed to beat the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish, Willian, Youri Tielemans and Dean Henderson. Leicester City are currently on the third spot of the Premier League 2019-20 table after 11 games. Brendan Rodgers' side have won seven games and shared the spoils in two matches (L2). They have managed to grab 23 points so far and are only trailing by eight points from the table-toppers Liverpool.
