Ronal Koeman was appointed as Barcelona boss after club decided to sack Quique Setien following 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in Champions League. Messi buyout clause explained

While latest news has all but confirmed that a Messi transfer may indeed be on cards this season, player’s contract may act as a barrier to any negotiation. Messi has asked club to refer to a clause that allows him to depart for free at end of each season. said clause will allow any Messi transfer to be completed without a fee, rar than pay his reported £632 million release clause. However, Barcelona will counter clause saying that it expired on June 10, with Messi’s lawyers hinting that date can be extended since 2019-20 campaign ended at a later date.
