Lionel Messi has had an excellent start on his new journey at Inter Miami. The Argentine forward netted five goals in three matches for the Miami-based MLS outfit as he single-handedly carried them on his shoulder since his arrival. Messi scored a brace against Orlando City as Inter Miami set up a round-of-16 clash against FC Dallas. The game will take place at Toyota Stadium on Sunday.

Inter Miami's idea of cashing in on Messi's much-hyped transfer seemed to be working as tickets for the Dallas vs Miami game have reportedly been sold out within just ten minutes of becoming available. FC Dallas also put out a statement confirming the development.

They tweeted, "Check the AXS resale marketplace for any additional tickets that may become available."

Inter Miami vs FC Dallas tickets are reselling at an exorbitant cost

The Toyota Stadium can hold over 20,000 people and some tickets which have been put up for resale have reportedly fetched a price of a whopping $9,000 while the cheapest tickets were available for as low as $299. Dallas would not have the chance to witness a glimpse of the player, as should Miami make it to the next round they will be playing at the DRV PNK Stadium.

Celebrities have been regular attendees in Messi's games t Inter Miami's home ground and there could be several high-profile fans present at the Toyota Stadium. Earlier, FC Dallas co-owner Dan Hunt had insisted that they would be selling the tickets in a few minutes. In an interaction with Bloomberg News, he said, “We will sell out in a matter of minutes. It’s the greatest coup in the history of the league.”
