Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arld, admitted that he misjudged talent of Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, in a Premier League game dating back to 2018 where Rashford netted a brace in a 2-1 victory against Liverpool. In that game, Marcus played as a wide forward in a two-man United attack, that had him directly face Trent. Although, Red Devils player raced past defender to score first goal of match in 14th minute before scoring his second goal after a time span of 10 minutes.
"It was a wake-up call"
Arld said that it was toughest game he had been a part of in terms of an opponent like Rashford, who was constantly putting pressure on him in that match. He admitted to underestimating United forward's talent and that made it learn a lot as he hated his team losing match.

He also talked about how it was probably worst game of 2018 season because of a dismal performance like that. He also said that when things did t happen in team's favour, it was a perfect example to learn from how Manchester United was playing.

A 2018-19 season record for Trent
Trent broke record for providing maximum amount of assists(12) by a defender in 2018-19 season and is w considered one of best defenders in world. While responding to a question, Trent said that his performance against Rashford could be used as a motivating factor as it was a wake-up call for him that such a performance is t acceptable at any level.

Ole praises Marcus Rashford
Meanwhile, Manchester United manr, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, praised forward Marcus Rashford's stunning free-kick in a 2-1 victory against Chelsea and called it a 'Cristia Ronaldo-like' strike that sent United into quarter-finals of Carabao cup.
