Alan Shearer claims Liverpool should t be awarded Premier League trophy
Writing in his column for Sun, Alan Shearer was amant that Liverpool cant be awarded Premier League title if season is declared finished in coming weeks. “If, and it is a huge if, season cant be completed n re is way you can have a winner or loser. As harsh and as horrible as that would be for some clubs, ne more so than Liverpool, it is only outcome. If you cant complete fixtures n you cant go handing out titles or consider relegating anybody. For Liverpool, it would be incredibly harsh,” he continued.

former Newcastle striker went on to d that “I cant see how it would be fair to hand m title – despite fact it is obvious body is going to catch m. y only need six points to wrap it up but y haven’t got m yet so for that reason it has to be declared null and void. It would be very different if season was suspended after y h got points to win it. But y haven’t and however horrible a scenario it would be, it’s only option.”
