Liverpool will be furious if the league gets suspended: Man United legend Paul Ince

Liverpool face an anxious wait on the decision surrounding the future of the Premier League as they look to end their 30-year long wait for the title.

Liverpool were on course to win ir first Premier League title in 30 years before coronavirus pandemic resulted in suspension of league. recent coronavirus outbreak across globe has resulted in suspension of all major European leagues. Premier League has been pushed till May 1st, 2020. However, suspension could get extended looking at spread of coronavirus pandemic in UK. England's Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive for virus earlier last week. Looking at current situation, FA could take decision to cancel Premier League 2019-20 season.

Paul Ince talks in favour of Liverpool 

If authorities decide to terminate whole season, Liverpool will t lay ir hands on  trophy that to end ir decades-long drought. Liverpool had little competition this year in ir quest to Premier League glory. Jurgen Klopp's men are currently 25 points ahead of Manchester City on top spot. Manchester United legend Paul Ince feels that denying Liverpool title this year will create a huge uproar and it won't turn out to be good for league. Ince insisted that officials decide to complete season as re are only nine games remaining.

Paul Ince, in an interview with Mirror, stated “It’s a tricky situation because you can’t please everyone. Can you imagine 30 years of waiting to win season and, when you’re on brink, y end up making season null and void?  uproar that would cause in Liverpool." Paul Ince furr added that it's upon authorities to decide wher y want to upset one team to make everyone else happy or to give title to Liverpool. "We have to complete season whatever happens and, if that’s in May or June, you’re only talking nine games," said Paul Ince.

Premier League return date

For w, officials have anunced that Premier League will resume from May 1st, 2020. authorities will look to complete remaining games in a short span of time. Even if league resumes, games will reportedly be played behind closed doors to avoid a large garing of people amid coronavirus pandemic.
