Lockers used by Ronaldo, Beckham and other Real Madrid stars are up for auction

 It's a sports fan’s perfect storage solution: Metal lockers that once held sweat-stained shirts and muddy cleats of some of world’s greatest soccer players are up for auction.

Soby’s is selling 24 lockers from dressing room of storied club Real Mrid . Used by team between 2002 and 2022, y were removed from Santiago Bernabéu Stium during renovations.

y went on public display at auctioneer’s London showrooms on Wednesday.

storage spaces once used by players including Cristiano Ronaldo , David Beckham. Zinedine Zidane, Sergio Ramos and Luís Figo are being sold individually, with bidding starting at 10,000 pounds ($12,600) apiece.

lockers, and or artifacts from team, are open for online bidding until Nov. 26 in sale, a joint venture between Soby’s and Real Mrid “memorabilia partner” Pursuit 3 Marketing Group.

Soby’s said a portion of auction proceeds would be donated to club’s charitable Real Mrid Foundation.

Soby’s sports and modern collectibles specialist Brendan Hawkes said it was a privilege “to offer se historic relics that give public a glimpse behind gilded curtain of legendary Santiago Bernabéu and one of world’s most decorated football clubs.”

It’s also latest sign that world of sports memorabilia is booming, and spreing beyond tritional mainstays of shirts and balls. In August, Soby’s sold Kobe Bryant’s locker from L.A.’s Staples Centre for $2.9 million.
