Man City COVID-19 cases make club close training ground, Carabao Cup semi-final in doubt

Rising Man City COVID cases have compelled the PL heavyweights to close their training ground for an indeterminate period, casting doubts on the city derby.

Premier League heavyweights Manchester City suffered a major setback when two first-team players - Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker tested positive for vel coronavirus last Friday. Besides, two or staff members h contracted dely virus, according to club's statement.

But coronavirus trouble has cast spotlight on several or players of club, following which clash against Everton on Monday was postponed. Following rising Man City COVID cases, team's training ground has been closed for an indefinite period.

Everton vs Man City postponed after rising COVID-19 cases 

Man City were set to travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton in Premier League on Monday. But prior to game, club anunced that clash was postponed. "After latest round of Covid-19 testing, club returned a number of positive cases, in dition to four alrey reported on Christmas Day", stated Man City.

club believe that COVID-19 cases are strong eugh with impact of spreing amongst or players of squ, apart from staff members. Based on strong medical vice, two teams have agreed to postpone Everton vs Man City clash on Monday.

Man City training ground closed indeterminately 

Etih based outfit have also shut down training ground for an indeterminate period. Anuncing decision to shut down Man City training ground, statement also revealed that any future decision related to same will be taken only when entire squ is tested for coronavirus. 

"With security of bubble compromised, re posed a risk that virus could spre furr amongst squ, staff and potentially beyond," said Man City in ir statement. Man City believe that increasing cases are linked to ir trip to London for Carabao Cup quarter-final, although y do t consider Arsenal culpable in any way.
