Man City eyeing Mauricio Pochettino to take over as doubts loom over Guardiola’s future
Premier League giants Man City are eyeing up a move for Mauricio Pochettino as a potential manager should Pep Guardiola fail to agree on a new deal.

Premier League giants Man City are reportedly eyeing Mauricio Pochetti as an option should Pep Guardiola t commit to a new contract at Etih. Following 3-1 Champions League quarter-final defeat for Man City against Lyon, re have been some questions raised over Guardiola's future at club as Spaniard has w failed to get past UCL quarter-final st for third season in a row. Guardiola's contract at Man City expires next summer and so far re has been confirmation of Guardiola committing his future to club beyond summer of 2021.

Mauricio Pochetti to replace Pep Guardiola at Man City?
According to reports from Sky Sports, Mauricio Pochetti has mirers within Man City hierarchy for his work done at Southampton and Tottenham over past seven years. 48-year-old has been out of a job since his departure from Spurs in vember last year. re are also quite a few reports linking Pochetti to Man City if League Cup winners fail to agree on a new contract extension with Pep Guardiola.

Despite Man City crashing out of Champions League, Cityzens are keen to offer Guardiola a contract extension and remain hopeful that 49-year-old will pen a new deal. Guardiola's contract with Man City expires in 10 months. Pochetti has been linked with taking up Barcelona job as well following rumours of Quique Setien on verge of getting sacked but Argentine reportedly prefers a return to Premier League. Ronald Koeman is also under consideration by Barcelona meaning Pochetti might still be available for Man City next year. Mauricio Pochetti guided Spurs to Champions League final last season and has been lauded for working his magic on a tight budget, something he will t have to encounter at Barcelona or Man City.
