Man United net just once vs West Brom despite 707 passes, 7 shots on goal & 74% possession

Man United have come under immense scrutiny after dominating the game against West Bromwich Albion, but failing to win the tie on Sunday.

Manchester United's embarrassing form continued against West Bromwich Albion in Premier League. Red Devils went on to share spoils for second consecutive time in Premier League, with previous clash against Everton ending in a 3-3 stalemate. As match stats hint at dominance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, it also sheds light on ineffectiveness of team's frontline to fire in goals.

West Brom vs Man United: Lindelof slammed following Diagne's opener 

Man United suffered an early setback in game when West Brom bagged lead as early as 2nd minute. Mbaye Diagne succeeded in meeting an exceptional cross from Cor Gallr to head it past shot-stopper David de Gea. goal wasn't without controversy as  goalscorer seen outmuscling Victor Lindelof to get onto header.

duo of Harry Maguire and Lindelof have often been criticised for ir lack of defensive stability. And Maguire has come in his player's defence. Speaking to MUFC TV, Maguire insisted Diagne should have been penalised for over muscling Lindelof. Meanwhile, West Brom came close to double ir lead twice in first half but fell short of firepower to get ball past net.

Bru Fernandes goal to Man United's rescue, team end up with 74% possession 

Solskjaer's men were back in game just before closing minutes of first half. Midfielder Bru Fernandes struck a sensational volley past Sam Johnstone to cancel Diagne's early opener. But travelling side could t salv a win with ir ineffectiveness on fore in second half.

A quick look at match stats is eugh to suggest Man United's dominance in game. Solskjaer's men mand 74% possession in game, racking up 707 passes to ir credit. Man United had an 85% pass accuracy in game. Ironically, Throstles barely mand 253 passes against travelling team.

Man United stats: More attempts on target for Red Devils 

Man United had more attempts on goal than hosts but failed to net it past net, with Bru Fernandes' stunning volley being only exception. Old Trafford outfit mand 10 shots in game, with seven being on target. Interestingly, West Brom racked up seven shots in total, three of which were direct on goal.
