Man United vice-chairman Ed Woodward hints at top transfers in the summer market

Man United chief Ed Woodward has claimed that the Red Devils are willing to spend big in the summer with titles being the primary objective at the club.

Man United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has assured fans that he will back manr Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in summer transfer market to sign 'top-players' at Old Trafford. Amid coronavirus crisis that is set to have a negative impact on Man United value, Ed Woodward claimed that Red Devils aren't immune to collateral dam of deadly bug. However, 48-year-old Man United chief underlined that Premier League giants will remain highly competitive in transfer market as primary aim of club is to win titles on a regular basis.

Ed Woodward on financial impact of coronavirus on Man United value

In a recent Q&A session in a Man United fan forum, Ed Woodward highlighted his primary aim is to assist Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in bringing Man United back to summit of English football. Although coronavirus crisis has had a major effect on clubs in top flight, Ed Woodward claimed that Man United are fortunate eugh to be in a strong financial position in comparison to most or clubs in top division. Amid uncertainty around completion of Premier League campaign, Man United value has taken a slight dip but Ed Woodward is er to rope in some quality players in summer transfer market.

Despite coming clean about Man United value, Ed Woodward revealed re is a vast 'disconnect' between transfer stories and ecomic realities. Being an investment banker, Englishman explained 'inappropriate situation' of players being worth millions in a transfer market that has been deeply affected by  coronavirus crisis. Woodward reiterated that once re is clarity on situation of transfers, Man United are bound to make a splash in summer transfer market to recruit desired players at club. Man United executive vice-chairman confirmed that 'core objective' of club is to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and win trophies.

Man United top targets in summer transfer market

Man United have been linked with a Jadon Sancho transfer for quite some time. Borussia Dortmund superstar has been on transfer wishlist of a few top clubs in Europe. United are still in hunt for Europa League title, FA Cup and a top-four berth in Premier League once season resumes.
