Manchester City players on International football duty this weekend
After a 2-0 defeat to Wolves at the Etihad and a long list of injuries, Guardiola gets some breathing space as City players head for International duty.

Last weekend’s results mean that Premier League champions Manchester City w trail Champions League holders Liverpool by 8 points after 8 games. Man City fans went into meltdown last weekend as Wolves beat Man City at Etih Stium, courtesy of a rare double from fleet-footed winger, ama Traore. defeat means that City have alrey conceded nine goals this season, one fewer than 12th placed Manchester United and three fewer than league leers, Liverpool.
Having alrey dropped points against Tottenham and rwich earlier this season, Pep Guardiola finds himself with unenviable task of catching up to Liverpool, who w enjoy a run of 17 Premier League wins on trot, just one short of United’s record of 18. Pep Guardiola will welcome international break with open arms this weekend. He will, however, also be hoping to welcome back his players from international break without picking up any injuries. Man City alrey have Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy, Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane and John Stones out injured, with loss of Laporte being keenly felt across City’s backline.
