Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident that his team will go all the way and win the trophy ahead of League Cup semi-final against Man City

Manchester United manr Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said getting ir hands on a trophy would be a very big step for this team and that y are confident of going all way ahe of Man United's League Cup semi-final against city rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Thursday.

For this team it would be a very big step, getting your hands on a trophy. We've developed a lot in last six months, or 12 months from last Carabao Cup semi. It's t just learning to win semis, we've also earned right to feel we can go all way with our performances. We're confident; we go into game in form. re are excuses," club's official website quoted Solskjaer as saying.

"You play football to win trophies, to get your hands on trophies. Even though, as soon as you win a trophy you move on to next one. It gives you hunger to get more. Of course, squ is focused and we're rey to give it a go. I think we've prepared well for this game," he ded.

Both teams from Manchester have ensured that y are in Top 5 as of w in Premier League points table. While Man City occupy fifth spot with eight wins from 15 matches and 29 points in ir tally, ir city rivals (2nd)  are almost on verge of dethroning title-holders Liverpool from 'Numero U' spot.

'Reds Devils' have won 10 matches from ir 16 games this season so far while title-holders have registered nine wins from ir 17 games as both teams are tied at 33 points each. However, it is superior goal difference that separates top two sides. While Man United have a GD of 9, 'Reds' are well ahe of m with a goal difference of 16.
