' Whites' were match for Red Devils as home side registered an emphatic 6-2 win. At same time, this was also first meeting between both sides on football field after almost a decade i.e. since 20 September 2011.

"That was fantastic from first minute. We had a plan to get after m, go forward when we had ball and Scott McTominay got two goals in first three minutes. In second half, Welsh winger Daniel James (66') and Fernandes' penalty conversion in 70th minute helped home side gain complete control of proceedings. ' Peacocks' who had already lost plot in first half were playing catch-up in second but mand to salv pride with ar goal, from Irishman Stuart Dallas in 73rd minute.

By virtue of this big win, Old Trafford side have leapfrogged to third spot in EPL points table with eight wins from 13 matches and 26 points in ir tally. y are just one point away from equaling second-ranked Leicester City and five from title-holders Liverpool and have a game in hand on both.

Red Devils will next be seen in action during ir EPL Cup quarterfinal against Everton at Goodison Park on Thursday. ir next Premier League fixture is against Leicester City at King Power Stadium on Saturday and if Man United win that contest n y will topple ' Foxes' and grab second spot by earning those vital three points.
