Manchester United report a British publication over attack on Ed Woodward's house

Manchester United have filed an official complaint to IPSO over attack on Ed Woodward's house. United claim a publication had prior knowledge of the attack.

Manchester United have accused British publication  Sun for having 'advance tice' of attack on United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward's house. United have also filed a complaint to Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO).

Ed Woodward house attack

Ed Woodward's house in Cheshire was attacked by a group of Manchester United supporters on January 29. A video from attack went viral on social media where attackers were seen chanting 'death threats' at Woodward and also throwing flares at his house. Woodward and his family were t at house at time of incident. 

club immediately released a statement to condemn actions of attackers. y said that y'll ensure that a thorough investigation will be carried.

Manchester United released an official statement to anunce that y have filed a formal complaint to IPSO for 'advance tice' and its subsequent cover by Sun. United furr added that reporter present at time of said incident had full kwledge of intended attack.

club furr claim that reporter failed to fulfil his duty as a responsible society member and report incident. Manchester United believe that said reporter has violated his ethics as a journalist.

Sun releases a statement

Sun subsequently released a statement admitting that y received a 'tip-off' that a mass protest had been planned. While publication condemned attack, y claimed that 'at point of time' did reporter have prior kwledge of criminal activity. newspaper house defended its right to report. y furr agreed to co-operate with enquiry.
