Manchester United Officially CONFIRM Appointment Of New Manager Ruben Amorim, To Start From Nov 11

Manchester United have officially announced the appointment of Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim as their new head coach.

The wait is finally over as Manchester United have finally landed their replacement for Erik Ten Hag in the form of exciting young manager Ruben Amorim from Portuguese club Sporting CP. 

Manchester United officially confirmed Amorim's statement on Friday through a media release. Amorim's appointment comes after the Red Devils find themselves in serious pickle, languishing 14th in the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim - The new Manchester United manager

Ruben Amorim's appointed as the new Manchester United head coach brings a lot of excitement among fans as the Portuguese is billed as one of the most exciting young managerial prospects. 

Amorim took over as the head coach of Sporting CP back in 2020-21 and guided them to two Primeira Liga titles and also broke the club's 17-year trophy draught.

“Manchester United is delighted to announce the appointment of Ruben Amorim as Head Coach of the men’s first team, subject to work visa requirements,” wrote Manchester United in their club statement. 

Amorim will not immediately take charge of the Red Devils, instead he will join the club on Monday, 11th November. He will wrap up his final formalities as head coach of Sporting CP and will join United post receiving his work visa.

A tough task ahead of Ruben Amorim 

Ruben Amorim will join the club during the international break and his first match in charge would be on the road against Ipswich Town on Sunday, 24th November. Amorim's home debut will be against Bodo Glimt in the UEFA Europa League.

Amorim has a tough task already as he will be the latest to attempt to revitalise Manchester United's fortunes. United are currently lying in 14th spot in the Premier League with just 11 points after 9 games. They've failed to win any of their first three games in the Europa League and are staring at an exit.
