The Premier League 2019-20 season couldn't have gone any worse for Manchester United and their fans. United are experiencing their worst start to a Premier League season ever. Adding to their misery is the fact that they have to deal with several of their key players being injured. United face an uphill task on Sunday to take on their biggest rivals and the No.1 side on the points table, Liverpool. Here are those players from the Red Devils who are likely to miss out or remain unavailable for manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to select for the crunch clash -
Manchester United injury concerns
David De Gea
The international break saw Devid De Gea getting injured during Spain's recent Euro 2020 qualifier against Sweden. Spain coach Roberto Moreno broke the news that De Gea didn't want to get substituted but was forced off the field due to an abductor muscle problem. These injuries can take up to 10 days to heal completely, so it looks unlikely that De Gea will play against Liverpool.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Wan-Bissaka missed previous clashes against Arsenal, AZ Alkmaar and Newcastle, all of which came within a week of each other due to tonsilitis. He did not make it to the England squad during the international break. Manchester United and Solksjaer will be expecting him to be fit before the Liverpool game.
Paul Pogba
French media reports have claimed that Pogba is suffering from a serious toe injury, but the star has recently posted his workout videos on his social media accounts. In the past few weeks, Manchester United confirmed that Pogba needed a period of rest and rehabilitation on the ankle problem he suffered at Southampton in August. The star's return to the Liverpool game continues to be under much speculation.
Anthony Martial
Martial has a very positive chance of returning to the United squad to face Liverpool, which will be a good sign for United's attack. He has been seen arriving at training this week, following a thigh strain that kept him out of action. Solskjaer will be asked to confirm the news on Martial on Friday morning.
Luke Shaw
Shaw hasn't featured in any of Manchester United's games since the Crystal Palace contest. He walked-off the park after picking up a hamstring problem. However, the positive news is that Shaw has now returned to training in full swing and could win the race against time to play against Liverpool.
