Manchester United to host Liverpool on Sunday, October 20, 2019, in what is expected to be yet another classic North-West derby between the two archrivals. Despite the clubs enjoying contrasting forms, nothing can be taken for granted in a game where form and fortunes tend to matter the least. Old Trafford is likely to be a stern test for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who is yet to taste victory at the venue. Also, the game should provide a chance for Klopp's United counterpart, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to try and silence his critics. Manchester United won the game on the back of Marcus Rashford’s first-half brace. Despite having the bulk of the ball and pouring pressure in the final 45 minutes, Liverpool failed to create many chances. An Eric Bailly own-goal was just a consolation at the end as Mourinho used Romelu Lukaku and Rashford in tandem to frustrate the visitors.

Two years ago, the sides met yet again, but only to pour warm water on the excitement surrounding the fixture. Once again, Liverpool complete dominated the ball but failed to breach the United defence. Mourinho came to Anfield to frustrate the home side and avoid a defeat, which he managed with aplomb.

Another draw, another bust is what sums up the game. But unlike the others, this one was a relatively close affair. James Milner put the visitors ahead with a penalty ahead of the break before Zlatan Ibrahimovich restored parity with a header in the second half. A draw at the end seemed to be a fair result for both the sides.
