India vs Kuwait: Manvir Singh scores a late winner for India

On Thursday, India defeated Kuwait 1-0 in a crucial encounter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup second-round qualifiers. Manvir Singh found the back of the net with a left-footed drive in the 75th minute, connecting with a precise cross from Lallianzuala Chhangte. The victory gives India three vital points in Group A. Both teams were involved in a closely contested struggle, with chances at a premium.

However, Manvir Singh's clinical finish proved to be the winner for India. Following the goal, Kuwait dealt another setback when Faisal Alharbi drew his second yellow card of the match in injury time. He was booked for a high boot challenge on Chhangte, and hence received his marching orders. With this, Kuwait were reduced to 10-men.
