When Maurizio Sarri took over the reins at Chelsea from Antonio Conte, many would have expected the former Napoli boss to struggle in early stages of the seasons. However, if the results so far are anything to by, it looks like 'Sarriball', as his brand of football is fervently called, is up and running and has taken the Premier League by storm.
It is no hidden fact that his arrival has conveyed a positive vibe around the players, with the team adopting a fresher and attacking brand of football which is a treat to the eyes.
Although, the Italian who had entered a pressure cooker of limited prep time and typically high Chelsea expectations, has somehow managed to bring the smiles back on the faces of the Stamford Bridge faithful.
After 11 games played in the Premier League, the Chelsea head coach managed to remain unbeaten so far. Interestingly, the Italian also equaled a Premier League record for the longest unbeaten streak which was set by Nottingham Forest boss Frank Clark in 1994.
The Italian managed to reach this landmarks thanks to Alvarao Morata who finally found his scoring boots with a brace and Pedro who killed the contest with a neat strike to secure an hard-earned 3-1 win against Crystal Palace.
The Blues came closest to defeat this season in the league, when they hosted Manchester United in October. However, a late Ros Barkley strike ensured that Maurizio Sarri had maintained his unbeaten start to life at his new club.
Maurizio Sarri can surpass Frank Clark's record, if Chelsea manages to beat Everton in their next Premier League outing which will be played at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Before that, the Blues will turn their attention towards BATE Borisov in the Europa League, with a place in the knockout stages in sight.
