Luis Enrique cleared the air on Kylian Mbappe's future as he insisted Paris Saint-Germain need to find an agreement with the player. Mbappe refused to sign a new contract extension with the French giant and reportedly has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid next season on a free transfer. PSG's stance has been very clear as the club wants to sell the player this summer to recoup some of the invested sum.

A number of clubs including Chelsea have reportedly been linked with a move for the player but nothing concrete has come up so far. Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has been appointed as the new manager and the priority will be to exceed their expectations.

Following the departure of Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi, Mbappe was supposed to be the focal point of tPSG, but his latest move has jeopardised their plan.

However, Enrique has now cleared his intention as he wants the club to find a solution with the player.

"It's a subject we've come across before, and a solution was found between the club and the player.
"That's what I'd like to see. The philosophy of this club is very clear: that the club is above all else and I share that 100%. It is an issue that was resolved in the past in a positive way before I was here.

"I hope and wish that, as happened in the past, the club and the player will come to an agreement. That is what I would also like. I remember the words of the president: the club is above players and sporting directors and I agree with him 100%."
PSG will kickoff their defending of their Ligue 1 crown against Lorient on Sunday.
