Messi wins Golden Shoe award, son hands it to him!

Lionel Messi recently got felicitated with his sixth Golden Shoe award for scoring the most club goals (36) all over Europe in the 2018/19 season. The ceremony was held at Barcelona on Wednesday where Messi was accompanied by his two kids. Messi lifted the grand award for the third consecutive time, prior to which his Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez had won the honour in the 2015-16 season. Messi cruised past the likes of PSG's Kylian Mbappe and Sampdoria's Fabio Quagliarella to get a hold of the award.

Mateo Stole The Show Again

Apart from Lionel Messi, his son Mateo stole all the limelight at the show. Amongst the star's three sons, Mateo is known to be the more jolly and exuberant one. Messi has always mentioned his antics and how he likes to tease his brother by supporting other teams apart from Barcelona. On this occasion, Mateo was looking keen to get a hold of the polished prize. Mateo and Thiago were asked to hand over the award to their father and the little one's funny moments on the stage left the internet in splits.
