Minerva Punjab rechristened as Punjab Football Club in I-League
I-league side Minerva Punjab has been renamed as Punjab Football Club, the club and its director announced on social Media. The club won the league in 2017-18.

Former I-League champions Minerva Punjab FC have been renamed as Punjab Football Club according to an official statement from club on Wednesday. All teams of Minerva Punjab FC will w be kwn as Punjab Football Club as per an agreement with Round Glass Sports Private Ltd. Round Glass Sports has expanded ir youth and grassroots football talent program by including players of Minerva Punjab FC’s Under-11 to Under-18 teams.

players are already training under UEFA/AFC/AIFF certified coaches at Round Glass Sports. International medical, nutritional, educational and lifestyle facilities are being provided to all players to help m develop ir skills.

Minerva Punjab: I-League champions in 2017–18
club competes in I-League, one of top leagues of India. Minerva, since its inception in 2013 as a club, have won I-League title once, Punjab State Super Football League title once and were also runners-up of I-League 2nd Division. Minerva were crowned champions of I-League in 2017–18.

club's co-owner Ranjit Bajaj believes that re is a sense of positivity and excitement for upcoming season and that team is confident of putting up a good show. He goes on to say that this is best thing to have happened to football in rth India and Punjab in specific, ensuring an even stronger presence of football in region.
