Mohamed Salah slammed by Egypt compatriot for neglecting COVID-19 protocols
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has tested positive for coronavirus. Egypt icon Mido subsequently hit out at Salah for attending his brother's wedding last week.

Former Egypt player Mido has criticised his national team star, Mohamed Salah, this week. Liverpool forward tested positive for coronavirus just days after attending his bror's wedding in Cairo. This directly had an impact on Liverpool, who are due to face Leicester City in Premier League this weekend. Mido, who earned 51 caps for Egypt, has condemned his compatriot for attending his bror's wedding prior to an international match amid coronavirus pandemic. "I kw I may be under attack after my next comments, but it has to be that way,'" he told speaking to Al-Nahar TV.

"Mohamed Salah made a big mistake by attending his bror's wedding a few days before Egyptian national team match, he showed great negligence with steps taken to prevent coronavirus and result was that he was infected. neglect of Mohamed Salah caused Egyptian team to lose an important player in a very important match and time, and he also risked health of his team-mates," former Egyptian footballer added.

He furr went on to rant about officials within national team and said: " or point here is silence of all those responsible for player's negligence, which confirms fact that player is still bigger than national team and this will lead to a great failure."

Mido added that Minister of Sports Ashraf Sobhi, Chairman of EFA Amr Al-Ganayni, coach of national team Hossam Al-Badri, and national team director Mohamed Barakat are all cowards and think about what is being said should be said.
